On a daytrip to Morehead City there are some great things to see, delightful restaurants, wonderful shops, and warm and friendly people. Morehead City can fill a day with outstanding restaurants, beach and boutique shopping, art galleries, book stores, museums and play places, day and night. The deep-water port is busy and interesting, and yacht basins and marinas accommodate boaters for a day or a year. Parking close to downtown is not a big problem and most attractions are close enough together for a family to walk from one to the next. Water is all around and parks are plentiful.
